Dear Camper,

Thank you for enrolling in our camp. Opportunity awaits those of you who are interested in acquiring or improving your soccer skills and knowledge level. In order to make this an enjoyable experience, we will need cooperation and self-discipline.

REGISTRATION

Registration will take place in the Alfond Center from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on the first day of camp. Camp concludes after the championship game (8:30 am start) and awards ceremony (10:30 am start) on the last day of camp (usually between 11:00-11:30 am).

COMMUTER CAMPERS

Campers should arrive in the morning between 8:00-8:30am prior to the first session and be picked up after the evening game around 8:00-8:30 pm.  Comuters have lunch and dinner at SJC

MEALS

The meals are prepared by a professional food service staff, served cafeteria style, and are well balanced. Special menus are available with advance notice for those with special health care needs.

DIRECTIONS

From the South

Take Exit 48 Portland/Westbrook(formerly Exit 8) off the Maine Turnpike. Bear right at the toll booth (following signs to North Windham) and proceed 1.5 miles to the third traffic light. Turn left onto Rt. 302 west for 11 miles to North Windham. BE CAREFUL at the rotary to stay on Rt. 302 (2nd exit or half way through the rotary.) Proceed 3 miles past rotary (2nd light) to intersection of Rts. 302 and 35. Take a left onto Rt. 35 at the traffic light. See instructions below from North Windham center. From the North

Take Exit 63-Gray(formerly Exit 11) off the Maine Turnpike (95) and turn left onto Rts. 202 and 115 (west). After four miles, be sure to bear right at the "T" intersection and proceed into North Windham center. Route 115 ends at the Rt. 302 intersection. Go straight ahead onto Rt. 35 and follow instructions below.

From North Windham

At the intersection of Rts. 302, 115, and 35, proceed onto Rt. 35 for 2.3 miles into Standish. Take a right onto Whites Bridge Road and go 1.3 miles. The College entrance is on the left.

LODGING

All campers will be housed in dormitories. Upon arrival, rooms will be clean and in good condition. Damage to any part of the room or corridor will not be tolerated. It must be understood that damage caused by the camper will be paid for by the camper.

SPENDING MONEY

To prevent possible loss of spending money, all cash must be deposited in our camp store and campers may draw credit on it throughout the week. Unused spending money will be returned at checkout on the last day of camp.  The Mini-Camp will not have a store...

 WHAT TO BRING

It is strongly suggested bringing enough practice gear to be able to change each day between sessions.

  • Soccer shoes/sneakers 1-2 pairs **break them in**
  • Sandals 
  • Shin guards 
  • Practice shirts (please bring a red, a white and a blue t-shirt - they do not have to be new) 
  • Practice shorts 
  • Athletic socks 10-12 pair 
  • Sweatshirt 
  • Personal toilet articles (including sun screen)
  • Towels and wash cloths
  • Sheets, blanket, and pillow or sleeping bag
  • Bathing suit (as we will be down at the lake for part of a day)
  • Fan

HEALTH and SAFETY

All applications to the camp must be signed by a parent or guardian with the understanding that the participant is physically fit to play soccer. Arrive at camp in good physical condition.

We have a full-time athletic trainer on duty at all times. The local hospital is twenty minutes from campus.

SPECIAL RULES

In order to ensure the health and safety of those attending the camp, the following rules shall be in effect:

Campers must not leave the campus at any time. Campers must not enter an automobile at any time. Those who arrive by car must leave the keys with the directors until departure time.
