Portland singer-songwriter Samuel James will perform at Saint Joseph’s College on September 27, the first event in this fall’s Speakers, Performers, Artists and Culture (SPArC) Lecture Series.
Fifth annual Sustainability Festival and Eat Local Lunch
On Sept. 25, the College will celebrate green living at the annual Sustainability Festival and Eat Local Lunch. Hosting faculty and area experts, the festival is a fun way to learn more about environmentally friendly practices. The event takes place from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the Alfond Center lawn on Wed., Sept. 25 and is free and open to the public. The all-you-can-eat lunch is $10. Saint Joseph’s College awarded 2014 Military Friendly Schools designation
Victory Media, the premier media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life, has named Saint Joseph’s College to the Military Friendly Schools list. Saint Joseph’s offers course in basic life support
Saint Joseph’s College will host a one-day course on CPR and other lifesaving skills on September 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at its campus in Standish. The course is ideal for lifeguards, nurses, athletic trainers, EMTs and other health professionals.
New director of graduate education program
Suzan Nelson has been selected as Saint Joseph’s College Online’s new director for the Master of Science in Education program. A current and longtime adjunct of the College, Nelson has more than two decades of experience in education in Maine.
Saint Joseph’s, Barresi Financial, Inc. host CPA workshop in Bangor
The CPA Series at Saint Joseph’s College, in collaboration with Barresi Financial, Inc., will hold a one-day workshop for certified public accountants and other financial professionals on Friday, September 13, in Bangor. The workshop provides eight hours of continuing education credits toward licensing requirements, in addition to one hour of ethics.
