Catherine’s Cupboard, Pearson’s Café prepare for fifth annual bake-off
On Wednesday, November 27, volunteers from Saint Joseph’s College and the Lakes Region community will meet at the college’s cafeteria at 11 a.m. to bake 225 pies in three hours for the fifth annual Great Thanksgiving Pie Bake-Off.
College Thanksgiving schedule
In recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday, classes and offices will not be held or opened November 27 (offices close at noon) through December 1. Classes resume and college offices reopen on December 2.
Women's basketball ready for season opener
Saint Joseph's College opens the 2013-14 campaign with a pair of games in the Curry College Tip-Off Tournament this weekend, beginning with a 5:30 p.m. contest versus St. John Fisher College on Friday, November 15.

Feeney Players present 'Alive and Kicking' this weekend
The Feeney Players, Saint Joseph's College's student-led acting group, performs “Alive and Kicking” November 15 through 17 at the college. The performance will be in the Viola George Auditorium in Harold Alfond Hall at 7 p.m. November 15 and 16, and at 1 p.m. on November 17. Tickets are $10 at the door for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for children under the age of 18.
Annual Holiday Benefit Concert with Rick Charette
Singer-songwriter Rick Charette returns to Saint Joseph’s College for the 23rd Annual Holiday Benefit Concert on Sunday, November 24, at 2 p.m. The public is invited to enjoy this afternoon of music in Saint Joseph’s dining hall at its Standish campus.
President and student trade places for a day
On October 29, freshman Trent Charnock traded places with President Jim Dlugos for the day. While the president attended Trent's classes, even taking a quiz, Trent toured the campus and met with members of the community to gain a unique perspective of the College and the role of a college president. Panel discussion and campus events to honor veterans
Saint Joseph’s College will honor veterans from all branches of the U.S. military on Veterans Day, November 11, with a full day of events including an ecumenical service, a flagpole ceremony and a panel discussion led by visiting veterans. The events are free and open to the public.
SPArC Lecture Series hosts filmmaker and underwater photographer Mauricio Handler
Marine photojournalist, natural history filmmaker and expedition leader Mauricio Handler will visit Saint Joseph’s College on November 13 at 12 p.m. Handler is the third and final speaker in this fall’s Speakers, Performers, Artists and Culture Lecture Series. The lecture will be held in room 224 in Harold Alfond Hall.
