They'll also go to the yard of her neighbor who is recovering from chemotherapy. Lappin, who graduated from Saint Joseph's College in 1948 and taught school for many years in Portland, will be on the scene at her property to supervise as the volunteers mow, weed, trim and plant. Her neighbor, Theresa Walsh, who lives three houses away at 67 Quebec Street, has one of the oldest grapevines on the Hill and a lovely courtyard of flowers and plants that the volunteers will tend. The crews will be at 67 Quebec Street from 10:00-12:30 and at 90 Quebec Street from 12:30-3 on Monday, May 22. |
