Kids, wear your pajamas and come join elementary education majors for reading, learning, and fun at Saint Joseph's College starting on Wednesday, Jan. 21. Children from area schools, grades K-3, are invited to attend and enjoy the reading of a good book, participate in related activities and munch on snacks.

This free event, sponsored through the Saint Joseph's chapter of Student Educators Association of Maine (SEAM), will feature books and related activities that reflect seasonal themes.

Danielle Johnson of Standish, elementary education major and SEAM member, says, "Everyone participating is excited to help the children develop their reading skills outside of the classroom and have some fun."

The next program will be held Jan. 21 from 6 - 7:30 p.m., and the theme is Winter Wonders. The event will be held in the first-floor lounge at the Harold Alfond Center on the Standish campus. Don't forget a blanket or your favorite teddy bear. No registration necessary.

Future bedtime stories programs include Feb. 11 (Happy Valentine's), March 25 (Springtime Activities), and April 29 (Celebrating Maine). 893-7723.
