Christian Gurney named outstanding physical education major

Christian Gurney ’03 of Lisbon Falls, Maine, has been named an Outstanding Physical Education Major by the Maine Association for Health, Physical Education, Dance and Recreation. Just one of two students selected in Maine, he will represent the state at the Eastern District Convention in April in Philadelphia.

Gurney has maintained a 3.96 GPA, and physical education professor Sue Kelly describes him as “friendly, bright and patient – a quality student all the way around.”

After graduation, Gurney plans to teach in elementary school.
