Auction benefits student service projects

On Wednesday, Feb. 27, Saint Joseph’s College will hold a silent auction to raise funds to support their annual Spring Break Workfest program.

For the past 21 years, teams of Saint Joseph’s students have spent their spring break volunteering in weeklong service projects. This year, teams will serve in communities in Kentucky, New Jersey, New York and Maine. Projects include renovating homes and assisting children, the homeless, elderly and the disabled. A true reflection of the mission and values of Saint Joseph’s College, these projects encourage students to dedicate their lives to providing community service.

The silent auction is a great way to support these students. In past years, the auction has raised more than a third of the money needed to provide these valuable life lessons. Team sponsorship is also available.

The silent auction will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Mercy Hall at Saint Joseph’s campus in Standish. For more information on donating auction items, attending the auction or about sponsorship, contact Kathryn Cody at 893-7794 or
