Emergency Medical Services

Public Safety Officers are certified as First Aid/CPR/AED care providers and/or as Emergency Medical Technicians and will respond to general illness and/or medical emergencies as needed.

Escorts

Escorts from any building or parking lot on campus are provided by Public Safety Officers in the patrol vehicle and/or on foot 24 hours per day upon request. Call 893-6687 (Ext. 6687) or call from any telephone call box to request this service.

Jump Starts

Public Safety will assist vehicles owners with a jump start for their vehicles upon request. Call 893-6687 (Ext. 6687) or call from any telephone call box to request this service.

Lost and Found

Property that is lost should be reported to Public Safety and property that is found can be turned in at the Public Safety Office, where it will be filed and checked against department records in an effort to determine the rightful owner.

Programs to Inform

Public Safety Officers are available to present or assist in presenting crime prevention and safety programs sponsored by student Resident Assistants, and we have referral materials available from community resource agencies on topics such as drinking and driving prevention, domestic violence, victim assistance, sexual assault victim services, and general personal safety issues.

Room Lock-outs

Public Safety provides lock-out services to residential students. Call 893-6687 (Ext. 6687) or call from any telephone call box to request this service. Please note that if an officer would be seriously delayed in responding to your request, you may be instructed to go to the Student Life Office (located in Heffernan Center) for issuance of a temporary replacement key.

Vehicle Registration

Temporary and permanent vehicle decals can be obtained by coming to the Public Safety Office and registering your vehicle.
