Family Weekend is a great opportunity for loved ones to come to campus and enjoy a fun-filled day with your student. Starting off the events of Family Weekend is the Comedy on Tap program in the Chalet. At 8p.m. on Friday night the comedy duo called Frangela will take the stage. The duo is comprised of two Los Angeles-based comedians, Frances Callier and Angela V. Shelton. They both make regular appearances on VH1 with the show Best Week Ever, plus regular spots on NPR’s Day to Day show. Don’t miss out on a great way to start the weekend.
On Saturday morning, members from the Saint Joseph’s College community will meet in Lewiston, Maine, to participate in the 2014 Dempsey Challenge. The Saint Joseph’s College team will be raising hope for anyone affected by cancer. An Information Table will be available from 11a.m. to 1p.m. on Saturday morning for families to get schedules and pick up tickets to the New England Lobster Bake, if they aren’t attending the Social Hour at 4p.m. in the Chalet.
From noon to 4p.m. the campus will be abuzz with family activities. With pumpkin craving, candy apple making, face painting, balloon animals, and stunt jump activities for everyone to enjoy. All family events are FREE and take place on the Mercy & Xavier lawn.
The Monks will be in action all weekend long on campus with games Saturday for field hockey, and women’s soccer teams. All the games are listed on the weekend schedule, for additional information visit www.gomonks.com
On Saturday afternoon from 4 to 6p.m. join us in the Chalet for a complimentary Social Hour. During the Social Hour, families can pick up their tickets for the New England Lobster Bake.
Join us on the Alfond Center lawn at 5:30p.m., overlooking Sebago Lake, for a Classic New England Lobster Bake. Tickets are required for this event. Please visit the registration form for details and payment. During dinner there will be a preview of the evening show at 8p.m. and a Business Card Raffle by the Alumni Office.
The Student Activities office is happy to present Joel Meyers, a mind-blowing magician. This family friendly show is open to all students, families, and friends. The show starts at 8p.m. in the Auditorium located in Harold Alfond Hall.
