Family Weekend is a great opportunity for loved ones to come to campus and enjoy a fun-filled day with your student. With programming for everyone in the family, please take a look at the schedule and register for events as needed. Weekend Events

Parent Social

The Alumni Association and Alumni Office are hosting the first Parents-Only Social on Friday night from 7-9pm at the Cumberland Club. The Cumberland Club is located at 116 High Street in Portland. This first-annual event is a great end to a busy day of travel to relax with other SJC families. The program is free for parents to attend and registration for the event is required. 

Comedy on Tap, Featuring Pete Lee

Kicking off this year’s Comedy on Tap series is Pete Lee. As always, the show is in the Chalet and starts at 8pm on the final Friday of the month. Pete is sure not to disappoint, as he has been a regular on the Bob and Tom Radio Show for the past year. He recently filmed his first special for Comedy Central after finishing as a semifinalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing.

Family Events

From noon to 4pm the campus will be a buzz with family activities, with pumpkin carving, candy apple making, face painting, balloon animals and bungee trampolines for everyone to enjoy. All family events are free.

Athletic Contests

The Monks will be in action all weekend long on campus with games both Saturday and Sunday, including volleyball, field hockey, and men’s and women’s soccer teams. All the games are listed on the weekend schedule. For additional information, visit  On Sunday, the men’s soccer program will be hosting its annual alumni game at 10am.

Social Hour

On Saturday afternoon from 4 to 6pm, join us in the Chalet for a complimentary social hour. During this time families can pick up their tickets for the New England lobster bake.

New England Lobster Bake

Join us in the center of campus for a classic New England lobster bake. Tickets are required for this event. During dinner there will be a teaser of the evening show at 8pm.

Evening Entertainment

The Student Activities office is happy to present Norman NG, a mind-blowing magician. This family-friendly show is open to all students, families and friends. The show starts at 8pm in the auditorium located in Alfond Hall.


On Sunday morning, please join us for Mass in the Healy Chapel at 10am, led by Father John McHugh, OFM.
