New Horizons for Young Women is a wilderness therapy
program located in the Northeast Maine countryside. We are a business
of human behavior science and serve a rewarding social services group;
adolescent, at-risk girls. We promote self-awareness with a holistic
approach; utilizing natural activities, rewards and natural consequences.
NHYW provides Wilderness Instructor opportunities of employment
to dynamic, intentional and team centered leaders.
Qualifications:
Qualified instructors will have at minimum a four year college degree
or Outdoor leadership certification. Preferred candidates will have
served at-risk populations in a wilderness setting. Wilderness Instructors
work a focused 8 days on – 6 days off expedition and base style-schedule.
They practice empathy and believe in everyone’s ability to succeed.
Wilderness Instructors are patient and flexible -deliberate and intentional
and believe in ideals that are of absolute necessity in many career
verticals. Things like; integrity, pride, helping others and selfless
service.
Some of the objective parts of the Wilderness Instructor job are; facilitating
a physical itinerary, planning and coaching guided client activities,
manage risk in the wilderness and during Base Camp activities, fully
engage in peer learning on a regular basis, maintain daily logs of client
experiences and expedition activities, control and log medication dispensation,
monitoring client’s general health and wellness, individualizing
daily programming and interaction based upon assessment of specific
client needs and the advice of their therapist, attend and complete
mandatory training's (paid), stay engaged in the vocation of wilderness
therapy, continue learning, and be aware of industry best-practices.

Bridges of Maine, LLC is a small social service company
about four years old with offices in Southern Maine. We serve
children and adults with developmental disabilities in the counties
of York, Cumberland, Androscoggin, Sagadahoc & southern Oxford.
We are currently seeking Program Coordinators (Full-Time and Part-Time).
Coordinators provide one-on-one support to adults and/or children.
Services take place in the home and in the community. The focus
of supports are Behavioral Management (task refusal), Life Skills (toileting,
dressing, grooming, chores, etc.) and Social Skills (peer interaction,
expressing wants or needs, greetings and farewells, etc.). Coordinators
are expected to document daily activities, attend quarterly and annual
meetings, and assist in updating yearly service plans.
For child consumers, hours of service are generally after school from
2pm to dinnertime or bedtime, as well as some weekend time for specific
programs.
For Adult consumers, hours of service are vary from morning to night.
Requirements for employment:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must carry 100/300 liability insurance on vehicle
Experience not required but helpful.
*Employees may work more than one PT position for FT employment

of home-based mental health services and outpatient mental health counseling,
is currently seeking candidates for the following positions:
Family Support Worker
Employee will have direct interaction with client and client's family
under the guidance of a clinical supervisor. Employee will Provide
input to the clinical supervisor and team members to adapt the clients
treatment plan. Employee will teach behavioral health skills based
on interventions to clients and their families in the home or community
setting.
Applicant must hold a valid Maine driver's license and liability insurance.
A Bachelor's degree in Social Services or a related field is a must.
Behavioral Specialist 1 (BS1)
Employee will have direct interaction with client and client's family
under the guidance of a clinical supervisor. Employee will Provide
input to the clinical supervisor and team members to adapt the clients
treatment plan. Employee will provide behavioral health skills,
1 on 1, to a client in their home or community setting.
Applicant must hold a valid Maine driver's license and liability insurance.
Must hold an Associate’s Degree in Behavioral Health Technology,
Human Services or a related field, or hold a 1 year certificate from
an accredited Technical or Community College in Behavioral Health Technology
or a related field and have 1 year supervised experience; or have a
minimum of 2 years experience working with children and/or adolescents
with behavioral health needs.
Habilitation Specialist (HS)
Employee will have direct 1 on 1 interaction with client in the home
or community setting according to the guidelines established in the
Individual Habilitation Plan and under the supervision of a clinical
supervisor. The employee is expected to provide information directly
to the clinical supervisor regarding problems or changes in the clint's
condition.Applicant must hold a valid Maine driver's license and liability
insurance. High school diploma or GED and minimum of twelve months
experience working with children who have special needs or behavioral
health needs is required.
