Appointments are recommended but students are also
seen on a first come first serve basis as walk-in patients.
-
Students
are first seen by a registered nurse who will obtain
vitals and a brief history of your complaint. The nurse will
then offer advice which may include over the counter
products available at our self serve care center or
have you seen by a provider.
-
Providers are trained in primary care medicine and will address
your complaint and treat it in
the appropriate manner which may include a written prescription. Prescriptions
can be filled at any local pharmacy.
-
Providers also see patients for follow-up care, mental health medication
management, sports physicals, well woman physicals including gyn
exams, confidential sexually transmitted infection
counseling and testing, minor injuries,
and minor skin procedures including cryotherapy. Students are
treated in compliance with HIPPA regulations, maintaining complete
confidentiality. Their medical information
can only be released after a written request has been
submitted.
- The Health and Wellness Center also offers routine lab testing,
PPD testing, and limited immunizations.
