•Optimum health and wellness contributes to academic excellence
and overall success for students.
• The Health and Wellness Center treats illness and injuries and
promotes wellness, disease prevention, health education and quality primary
care.
• The Center director is our campus physician Su-Anne Hammond, D.O.
• During the academic year office hours are 8:30 to 4:30, Monday
through Friday.
• The Health and Wellness Center coordinates with the Counseling
Center and the Athletic Department Sports Medicine program to meet the
complete health and wellness needs of students.
• When the Health Center is closed, licensed EMT Responders in the
security department handle campus emergencies.
• Security officers coordinate with Rescue in the towns of Standish
and Windham for 24-hour emergency transport to Maine Medical Center or
Mercy Hospital in Portland.
• A 24-hour toll free telephone service connects to a registered
nurse for triage and medical advice.
