Athletics
We’ve got 15 teams (they like to win). We’ve got fans (they like to cheer). We’ve got cheerleaders (they like to do flips and jumps). It’s a great combination. We just completed the most successful fall season in Saint Joseph’s College athletics history. Last spring, the men’s basketball team won the conference championship. But winning isn’t everything. Our stellar coaches put academics first.
Café Bon Appétit
Welcome to the best restaurant in southern Maine. Our large, sunny dining room overlooks the lake and serves outrageously delicious food. Fresh, too, with lots of choices to suit all tastes and diets (including chocolate). You can’t beat it. Custom orders, too. Did we mention the commitment to local growers and organic vendors?
Mercy Hall
Professors here see the big picture and that includes the real world. Nearby, Maine’s largest city offers abundant student internships that translate to experience and jobs. Service learning in community settings is another way students expand horizons outside the classroom.
Alfond Hall
Alfond Hall offers an unbelievably expansive view of Sebago Lake and the White Mountains. It’s like looking at your own possibilities stretching out before you. Saint Joseph’s has 28 majors, small classes, and professors that invest themselves. You will too.
Greater Portland
People love Portland. This coastal gem routinely gets named to Top Ten lists for great places to live, work and have fun. The city’s full of things to do, whether shopping, galleries, professional sports, clubs, walking along Casco Bay or eating out. It has thousands of college students within a 25-miles radius. It’s cool. It rocks.
Sebago Lake
Maine’s second largest lake is sparkling clean, and we’re on it. The lakefront is a favorite place to be (you can still take a dip in October). When we sponsored a photo contest, students submitted so many pictures of magical lakeside sunsets, it was hard to choose a winner.
Recreation
Can you say co-ed dodgeball or flag football under the lights? Intramurals says fun for 11 different teams. So does our swimming pool, sauna, rock wall, zumba and kick-boxing classes, and ski and hiking trails meandering through the woods and down to the lake. Ski areas are just an hour’s drive or less. If you need to get in shape, our treadmills overlook the lake.
Campus Life
It’s friendly here. You’ll feel a sense of belonging. And there’s plenty of life outside the classroom: clubs, dances, The Chalet for late-night gatherings, grocery bingo, comedians, films, theater, trips, Frisbee on the quad, pool parties, residence hall programs, and more. Most students live on campus in 11 residence halls, some suite-style, some traditional.
A campus filled with opportunities.
Our professors are passionate about teaching and their students’ success. Not only are they accomplished and knowledgeable, they embrace real world experience. Just 18 miles away is Portland, Maine's largest city, offering abundant internships and jobs. Here is your chance to thrive as never before. Come to Saint Joseph's. Discover your potential and discover a community that helps you reach it.
“Discover your potential and discover a community that helps you reach it.”
