Born in Venice, Italy, Andrea Vianello received his education at the universities of Venice and Pavia. His research interests cover the history of poverty and welfare, fashion and consumption, and the history of labor, while his teaching interests include Ancient Greece and Rome, as well as early modern and modern history. Outside of work, he enjoys motorcycling, world travel, and Italian culture and history.
