Brent Wooten has worked in a variety of non-profit and for-profit organizations, primarily in marketing functions, for more than 20 years. He understands the challenges of marketing, and the opportunities that an effective marketing program can deliver. Much of his experience has involved the use of market research to help develop strategies that support the organization’s goals. At Saint Joseph’s College, he held positions of analyst, market research officer, and marketing director. Over the years, he has developed an extensive knowledge of marketing practices, market research methodologies, data analysis techniques, and application of results for marketing successful business strategies.
When an opportunity arose in 2013 to teach an online marketing course at Saint Joseph’s College, he was thrilled. He knew the challenges that many adult students experience when they return to school, as he had first-hand experience as a ‘non-traditional’ learner. He earned his bachelor’s while working full-time, and several years later, also earned an MBA online. In both instances, he had to juggle the responsibilities he held at work, home, and in his social life, with the work he needed to achieve as a student. It wasn’t always easy, but the hard work and dedication were worth it according to Brent.
