Lane Gibson joined the SJC faculty from Columbia University, where his dissertation concentrated on artificial light and the novel. His current research combines narrative theory with the study of technology and obsolescence. He also writes poetry and reviews contemporary fiction. His teaching covers a wide range of literature and writing courses, including period courses in British Literature, the Creative Writing sequence, and special topics in fiction.
