Leah Lazzaro, LSW, is an adjunct professor in the Bachelor of Social Work Program. She works full-time as the director of field and professional education in the School of Social Work at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ. She has Bachelors of Arts degrees in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Social Work degree from Monmouth University. She is a Doctor of Social Work candidate at Kutztown & Millersville University where the focus is on leadership and education. Ms. Lazzaro has over 13 years’ experience in social work education where she coordinates a robust field education program for BSW and MSW students and a professional education program that provides continuing education workshops for social workers in the community. Her dissertation research is on social work educators’ perceptions of their leadership and management competency.
