Sherrie Winton has an educational background in adult education and counselor education. Her professional life has consisted of supporting the workforce that serves underrepresented populations, developing and teaching courses for non-traditional students, and designing curricula, as well as managing and evaluating numerous educational programs.
Most recently, Winton worked in New York City on a grant initiative funded by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This initiative was developed with the purpose of enhancing the education and skills of NYC’s crisis workforce in the field of mental health. Prior to that, she was employed for nearly a decade at the University of Southern Maine, where she worked on a variety of educational initiatives.
