Saint Joseph's College is proud to host the Maine Mineralogical and Geological Society (MMGS) 34th Annual Gem, Mineral, and Jewelry Show on Saturday & Sunday, April 1 & 2, at our Sebago Lake campus in Standish, Maine. The MMGS Show, the biggest in the state, features thousands of items from renowned local and international vendors, including: one-of-a-kind mineral specimens, fossils, meteorites, gemstones, and jewelry items, fun and engaging educational programs, kids’ activities (such as digging for treasures in the mini-mine), live gold panning and gem cutting demonstrations, delicious concession stand food, and generous door prizes. Paid and registered admittees can enter the Grand Prize Raffle, to be held at the end of the show. This year’s Grand Prize is a one ounce APMEX bar of .9999 fine gold!
The unofficial theme of the 2017 Show is "Taking it to the Next Level!" The hosting venue at the College will expand to open the Upper Deck area of the Alfond Center to a slate of new dealers.
The show will be held in the Harold Alfond Center at Saint Joseph’s Sebago Lake Campus. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for students and seniors, and free admission for children 12 and under. You can find more information at
