The Pandemic Response Team is clarifying our guidelines around allowing fans and spectators at our home athletic events. This discussion arose in response to a question at the recent President’s Forum with faculty and staff.
First, we want to encourage all members of our campus community - students, faculty and staff - to attend athletic events at Saint Joe’s. Our entry tests and high vaccination rate make it possible for us to support our student athletes at every home game. So check the schedule, wear your mask, and go cheer for your Monks!
We are continually evaluating the ability of visitors from outside campus to safely attend sporting events. Currently, positive case counts in our community, in Maine, and across the region make it impossible to lift the restriction on visitors. The PRT will maintain this as a priority discussion going forward, and we hope to welcome parents, alumni, and other visitors into the stands as soon as it is safe to do so.
