Times Square, Broadway, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park – this is what we usually think of when we think of New York. But did you know that there are over 60,000 homeless adults in New York City? Every February, SJC students make a 24-hour “Midnight Run” to New York to share food, clothing, and conversation with our friends living on the streets of Manhattan. We start the weekend off by preparing 150 meals and sorting clothing donations before we depart for an experience of a lifetime! There is no cost to participate in this overnight trip, the only requirement is an open mind and an open heart. Join us as we explore New York beyond the surface and as we stand in solidarity with our homeless sisters and brothers. This year’s run will take place February 16-17, with sandwich making on February 15th – and if you can’t make it this year, consider donating your old winter coats, hats and gloves to our Winter Wear Drive throughout the months of January and February!
