Pledge to Stand Up to H8 at the Softball Game
April 27, 2018 @ 3:30 pm
Stand Up to H8 in a fun way. Show support of civility and respectfully challenge behaviors which are disrespectful. There will be an information table to share details of the NOH8 movement, accept new pledges, and more. NOH8 temporary tattoos, baseball hats, and baseball shirts will be given away and snacks will available.
In fall 2017, the “Stand Up to H8” movement was kicked off at Saint Joseph’s College. This movement is apolitical. It is not about being liberal, conservative, or anywhere in-between. Rather, it’s about embracing and furthering our core values of respect, compassion, community and justice. It’s about advocating for a community in which all people feel welcomed, valued and have the opportunity to contribute. This initiative builds on values and beliefs widely held in our campus community, sometimes quietly and subtly so. Our commitment in “standing Up to H8” is to make these values and beliefs increasingly apparent.
