Receiving the Reformation Today: Catholic Reflections

In Commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, Fr. Thomas Guarino, Professor of Systematic Theology at Seton Hall University will deliver the lecture, “Receiving the Reformation Today: Catholic Reflections.”
Responding to the lecture will be:

- Dr. Patricia Sodano Ireland, Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Saint Joseph’s College
- Reverend James L. Haddix, Ph.D., Retired Pastor, All Souls Church [U.C.C.], Bangor
Fr. Guarino will also speak at 7 p.m. at Saint Pius X Church in Portland.
This event is open to all and is Co-sponsored by the Diocese of Portland and Saint Joseph’s College.
About Fr. Thomas Guarino
Fr. Thomas G. Guarino authored Revelation and Truth, Foundations of Systematic Theology, Vattimo and Theology, and Vincent of Lérins and Development of Christian Doctrine [awarded the Paradosis Center Book Prize for Theology in 2014]. For over two decades, he has been a member of the ecumenical initiative, Evangelicals and Catholics Together, serving as its co-chairman since 2009. Fr. Guarino and Timothy George recently co-edited, Evangelicals and Catholics Together at Twenty: Vital Statements on Contested Topics. His book, Vatican II: Corruption or Development? An Examination, will be published in 2018.
