Have you ever installed siding on a house? Replanted a forest? Served food to over 200 people in need? Nailed down shingles on a roof? The answer is probably not… and that’s OK! Every year the Mercy Center coordinates one of the most popular service events of the year, Spring Break Workfest. During this week-long student-led program, students have an opportunity to serve communities throughout the United States! With sites in New Orleans, Kentucky, New Mexico, and Washington D.C., and others TBD students have an opportunity to explore a new part of the country while “giving back” to the community through various service projects – from building houses, to working in food pantries and shelters, or volunteering with kids, the week is filled with opportunities to share our time and gifts with others. Our first info session is Thursday, September 26 – hope to see you there! Stop by the Mercy Center FMI!
