Students Carry on "Midnight Run" Tradition to NYC

Midnight Run 2018

For more than a decade, Saint Joseph’s College students have carried on the tradition of the “Midnight Run.”

In coordination with the Midnight Run Organization, the Mercy Center organizes students who collect donations ahead of time and then travel to the heart of New York City to share meals, hot coffee, warm winter clothing, and conversation with people who are homeless on the streets of Manhattan. As many as twenty four students make the 24 hour journey together.

The Mercy Center is a gathering place for prayer, learning, and service. The Center links faculty and students with community partners in mutually supportive relationships that enhance the distinctive Mercy character of a Saint Joseph’s education.

Saint Joseph's College was established by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas and founded on the Mercy principles of faith, excellence, integrity, community, respect, compassion, and justice.
