Amazon, the online one-stop shop whose logo literally underscores the potential to buy items from A-Z, is a popular way in which many of our community members meet their shopping needs. If you are an Amazon shopper, now your purchases can help support the College when buyers use smile.amazon.com and select Saint Joseph’s as the nonprofit of their choice.

How does it all work? Logging into AmazonSmile allows you to find the exact same low prices, vast selection, and convenience you’re accustomed to experiencing with Amazon.com, plus the added benefit that Amazon will donate .05 percent of an item’s purchase price to an eligible 501(c)(3) public charitable organization. In short, it's an effortless way to give to the College at no cost to the buyer.

“It was so simple to make the switch to AmazonSmile, and deciding on Saint Joseph’s as my nonprofit recipient was even easier, ” says Joanne Bean, vice president, and chief advancement officer. “With the work I do on behalf of the College to raise funds for its endowment, I know that every little bit counts when it comes to sustaining Saint Joseph’s future.”

Money gathered from Amazon will go toward the Annual Fund, which in part supports student scholarships and aid. Considering that 90% of Saint Joseph’s students receive need-based financial assistance, making this small adjustment to your usual shopping habits could have a big impact down the line.
