1/7 – Monks Improve to 9-2 with Victory Over Suffolk, 88-76
Tyler Kelley '11 BOSTON, MA - St. Joe's (9-2, 3-1 GNAC) outscored Suffolk (1-8, 0-2) 48-34 in the second half to negate a two-point halftime deficit and collected an 88-76 victory over the Rams in conference action on Wednesday evening. Tyler Kelley ‘11 (Saco, ME) made five of six three-point attempts and led six Monks in double-digits with a career and game-high 26 points in the win. Read more

Meghan Daigle '10STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's junior forward Meghan Daigle (Grantham, NH/Lebanon HS) has been named to the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association Weekly Honor Roll for her play in three games over the holiday break. Read more
1/4 - Nichols Defeats St. Joe's in Key Largo Championship
Meghan Daigle '10KEY LARGO, FL - Nichols College (9-2) defeated Saint Joseph's (7-6), 58-48, in the championship game of the First Annual Key Largo Classic Tournament on Sunday evening. The contest was knotted at 27 apiece going into halftime, but Nichols, down by six with 7:54 to play, mounted a 16-0 run to close the game and seal the victory. All-Tournament Team selection Meghan Daigle '10 (Grantham, NH) scored 19 points to lead St. Joe's in the loss. Read more
1/3 - Lady Monks Win Key Largo Classic Opener, 68-62
Carolyn Freeman '10KEY LARGO, FL - Saint Joseph's (7-5) opened the New Year with a 68-62 victory over Cedar Crest College (PA) (3-4) in the Key Largo Classic opener on Saturday evening. Carolyn Freeman '10 (Scarborough, ME/McAuley) scored a game-high 19 points and added nine rebounds in the game, which featured 13 lead changes. Read more

Tyler Kelley '11 STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's (8-2, 2-1 GNAC) erased an eight-point halftime deficit to defeat Bowdoin College (7-3), 74-70, on Saturday afternoon at the Alfond Center. Tyler Kelley ‘11 (Saco, ME) drilled a career-best five three-pointers in the victory and scored 16 of his game-high 22 points in the second half to help the Royal Blue defeat the Polar Bears for the first time since 2003. Chris Petzy '12STANDISH, ME - Elbie Murphy '09 (Loudonville, NY) netted 15 points and Chris Petzy '12 (East Kingston, NH) added 14 off the bench to lift Saint Joseph's (7-2, 2-1 GNAC) past Bates College (3-4), 68-65, on Tuesday night at the Alfond Center. Chris Wilson ‘10 (Brewer, ME) made four three-pointers and scored 14 points to lead the Bobcats in the losing effort. Read more

12/14 - UMFK Edges Saint Joseph's, 74-71
CASTINE, ME - The University of Maine at Fort Kent (3-5) outlasted Saint Joseph's (6-4), 74-71, in the Maine Maritime Tournament consolation game on Sunday afternoon. Carolyn Freeman (Portland, ME/McAuley) and Meghan Daigle '10 (Grantham, NH) both scored 13 points in the loss. Read more

Meghan Daigle '10 CASTINE, ME - Endicott College (4-3) defeated Saint Joseph's (6-3) by a 89-62 score in the Maine Maritime Tournament opener on Saturday afternoon. Meghan Daigle '10 (Grantham, NH) led the way for St. Joe's with 13 points and eight boards while Sarah Fournier '11 (Jay, ME) chipped in with 11 points in the losing effort. Read more

12/13 - Monks Falter in Second Half, Fall to Lasell 80-60
NEWTON, MA - Lasell College (5-4, 3-0 GNAC) doubled up Saint Joseph's (6-2, 2-1), 40-20, in the second half en route to earning a 80-60 GNAC victory over the visiting Monks on Saturday afternoon. St. Joe's shot just 28% from the floor in the second stanza after playing the Lasers to a 40-40 stalemate in the first half behind a 53.1% effort from the field. Elbie Murphy '09 (Loudonville, NY) scored 14 points and Ray Eatmon '10 (Huntington, NY) gathered 12 rebounds in the Monks' first conference loss of the season. Read more
