Ebooks for Kindle

Wellehan Library is a member of the Maine InfoNet Download Library where SJC students, faculty, and staff may borrow and download audiobooks and ebooks for free.  Many of the over 3000 ebooks are now available in Kindle format!

Ancestry Library Edition

For those interested in history and genealogy, whether expert or novice…

Ancestry Library Edition, the largest online family history resource available, provides unprecedented access to family history via documents that record the lineage of individuals from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and more.

Access Ancestry Library Edition via the Wellehan Library’s Online Databases web page.  When accessing this resource from off campus, you will be prompted to enter your SJC login; the username and password you use to login to My Web Services.

Please note: 

  • This resource is available at all Maine libraries through MARVEL! Maine’s Virtual Library.  No SJC/Wellehan Library funds were used for its purchase.
  • Wellehan Library staff is not available to assist patrons with genealogical research. 

Satellite Writing Center in the Library

Get help with your research and your writing in one place! 

Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays from 6PM-8PM, both a reference librarian and a writing tutor are available in the Library to help students with thesis statements, topic development, locating information and resources, citing sources properly, etc. 

Online students - You have access to an online Writing Center through SmartThinking.
