Interim Vice President of Administration

Jon Mason joined Saint Joseph’s College in July 2026 as Interim Vice President of Administration. In this role, Jon provides leadership support in the areas of Human Resources, Facilities, Information Technology, Food Services, Events Management, and the Campus Store. Immediately prior to joining Saint Joe’s, Jon spent four years leading strategy work, data systems, and workforce development at JMG – an educational non-profit in Maine focused on ensuring all Maine students graduate high school and achieve success in the post-secondary environment. Additionally, he spent nearly 20 years at General Dynamics and Bath Iron Works in a variety of roles in Human Resources and Finance – culminating in his appointment to Vice President of Human Resources with responsibility for the strategic leadership of a team of over 200 Human Resources personnel in support of more than 7,000 employees. 

Jon holds an MBA from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Financial Economics from the University of Maine. He has held board positions on the JMG Board of Directors, the Maine State Workforce Board, and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers National Pension Fund. 

 

Jon is a born and bred Mainer and lives on Harpswell Neck with his wife, two children and their Bernese Mountain Dog. In his free time, he is an avid Maine outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, four wheeling, boating, and fishing.
