Friday, July 29
4:15 p.m. Shuttles depart from Xavier Hall parking lot for Welcome Back Cruise.
Be sure to sign up for a shuttle with the Alumni Office! Shuttles back to campus will depart at 9:30 p.m., 11:30 p.m., and 1:15 a.m. (Meet at the Custom Wharf loading dock/parking lot. Contact the Alumni Office for service.)
Welcome Back Dinner
5:30–8 p.m., Xavier Hall Lounge
Come join your fellow classmates to reconnect and kick-off Alumni Weekend’s first event. This will be a time to come together and chat about your time here at Saint Joseph’s College. Enjoy a buffet dinner and cash bar.
Welcome Back Cruise
6:30–9 p.m., 16 Custom House Wharf, Portland
Come join your fellow SJC alum on a night to remember in Portland for the Annual Welcome Back Cruise. The cruise will be a tour around Portland Harbor full of food, music, and plenty of dancing. A full hot buffet will be available and there will be a cash bar.
*The Class of 2006 will be holding a 10 year reunion celebration at Ri Ra Irish Pub prior to the cruise from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Meteor Shower Viewing
10–11 p.m., Observatory on the Heffernan Roof
On Friday night we planned a meteor shower just for our Alumni! Meet us by the fire pit at 10 p.m. to join a tour of the observatory on the Heffernan roof, gaze at the stars and catch the Aquarius meteor shower.
Campfire Under the Stars
10:00 p.m.–12 a.m., Fire Pit behind Standish Hall
Join us at our new fire pit located behind Standish Hall. This will be a time to reminisce about your days at SJC. This is an informal get together and is bring your own beer (BYOB), or wine, or soft drinks.
Saturday, July 30
8–10 a.m., in the Dorms
A light breakfast of bagels, fruit, muffins, pastries, and beverages (plenty of coffee!) will be provided for those staying in the dorms.
Alumni Association Town Meeting
10–11 a.m., Fire Pit behind Standish Hall
Get an update on all things Alumni! New alumni networking events, Alumni Chapters, and open nominations for the Alumni Association Board!
Sisters of Mercy Tea
11 a.m.–12 p.m., Xavier Lounge, Xavier Hall
Join the Sister’s of Mercy for a cup of tea. Various teas, and desserts will be served.
Picnic Lunch on the Beach
11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Enjoy the updated lakefront over lunch with some fellow SJC alum. Sandwiches, wraps, assorted lunch items, and soft drinks will be available. This is a BYOB event.
Walton Street Society Induction Ceremony and Luncheon
12–1 p.m., Xavier Lounge, Xavier Hall
Recognize our Alumni who will be celebrating their 50th Reunion! Join the Class of 1966 for a special pinning ceremony.
Can you throw a bean bag with tremendous accuracy? Think you can hang with the best of the best among our Alumni? Come join fellow SJC alumni (and families) in playing some friendly games of cornhole! Prizes for our top team and best dressed as part of our 1st Annual Alumni Cornhole Tournament. Cost: $5 per player or $10 per team.
Educational Walk with SJC Faculty
Are you interested in seeing what has been updated since the last time you were on campus? Come join us for an educational walk around SJC.
Beer, Wine, & Cheese Tastings
3:30–5:30 p.m., The Stone Barn at Pearson's Town Farm
Come get fancy with us! Join us at The Stone Barn at Pearson’s Town Farm for some delicious beer, wine and cheese tastings. This will be a great time to explore the farm, and get to know more about the farm’s mission and place here at SJC.
And don’t walk away empty handed, the Alumni Association Auction will be held during the tasting.

Please join us to celebrate Saturday evening mass with our college chaplain Father John McHugh.
Annual Lobster Bake
6:30 p.m., The Beach
What’s a vacation in Maine without lobster? Please join us for a delicious Lobster Bake down by the lake. Chicken and vegetarian options will also be served. This is a BYOB event.
Dance Party under the Tent
8–10 p.m., SJC Beach
Do you like to dance and have fun? We do too! Feel free to come show off your best moves for a dance party under the tent at the lakefront. This is a BYOB event.
Camp Fire Under the Stars
10:30 p.m., Fire Pit
So you don’t like to dance or you’re already tired from dancing down at the lakefront? Come finish the night by joining your fellow SJC alum at our new fire pit located behind Standish Hall. This will be a time to reminisce about your days at SJC.
Sunday, July 31
Jazz Brunch & Checkout
10 a.m.–1 p.m., The Stone Barn, Pearson’s Town Farm
A new event this year! Before you make the long (or short) trek home, swing by The Stone Barn for a bite to eat, some jazz music, and a mimosa.
Throughout the Weekend
The Alumni Association will be holding a Silent Auction during set hours throughout the weekend. All proceeds from this event will be going to fund the Saint Joseph’s College Alumni Scholarship.
The Stone Barn at Pearson’s Town Farm
Feel free to take the walk across the street to check out the new event space at the barn. The animals have been moved to a new barn on the farm!
Spend some time on the new and improved campus beach. Improvements made in 2015 include: a new dock, picnic tables, and a changing house. There will be kayaks and other recreational items available to rent throughout the weekend.
Check out the new campus convenience store and purchase some SJC Gear! The store will be open on Saturday, July 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
