Class Notes

October 2015



Dr. Victor M. Bove ’91 of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, was recently awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by Council 867 of the Knights of Columbus where he is a fourth-degree Knight. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Saint Joseph’s College in 1996 and the Distinguished Service Award from Millersville University in Pennsylvania in 1984. In 2005, he was written about as one of Millersville’s 150 distinguished alumni in its book 150 Years of MU Faces.

Susan E. Weng ’93 of Shelbyville, Michigan, spends her time doing ministry volunteer work within her community, volunteering weekly at a local food pantry and at the Bronson Methodist Hospital. 

Jim Chase ’94 of Salem, New Hampshire, was promoted to deputy chief of police at the Salem New Hampshire Police Department on September 20, 2015.



Carrie Nelligan Riccardi ’03 and her husband, Nick, of Wilmington, North Carolina, welcomed their second child, James Stephen, on January 26, 2015. He joins his big sister, Lenox, who is three years old.

Mark Hamlin ’08 and Kayla Soucy Hamlin ’10 welcomed their son, Matthew James Hamlin, on July 30, 2015.

Mallory Clark Buff ’09 and her husband, David Buff, of Ipswich, Massachusetts, welcome their son Connor McAlister on March 29, 2015. 



Jesse D. Raposa ’12 and Samantha A. Eaton ’12 of Waltham, Massachusetts, are pleased to announce their engagement. Both are 2012 Saint Joseph’s graduates; Jesse acquired a BS in Communications, while Samantha acquired a BA in Criminal Justice. The couple lives and works in the Boston area. The wedding is scheduled for summer 2016 in Vermont.

General Guidelines

While we do our best to print all Class Notes as written, we may need to edit due to space limitations, appropriateness of language and content, or repetition of content. 

Class Notes will be accepted in the following manner:

  • If the alumnus/alumna in the note notifies the College of the news (except condolences, which may come from the alum’s family)
  • If the College receives electronic notifications of the event from a news article or bulletin from another publication/public relations office
  • If the announcement is publicly published and references the alumnus/alumna by name and association with the College
