Saint Joseph’s College Opens a New Dining Experience on Campus

On October 4, Saint Joseph’s College opened Baggot Street—a new dining option and gathering space in Heffernan Center. This student union type of venue offers more than the typical dining option for students. Baggot Street is a place to hang out with peers, grab a panini or pizza, play pool, or watch TV on one of several large screen TVs. Students can also watch monthly live performances of musicians, comedians, and sing karaoke.

Baggot Street offers a wide selection of menu items whether you grab and go before class, or sit down and eat at one of the tables. Typical menu items offered are: specialty coffees, smoothies, flatbreads and pizzas, bakery items, healthy snacks, a wide range of sandwich options, beverages, and home-style meals.

Baggot Street was named for the street where Catherine McAuley, the founder of the Sisters of Mercy, established the first House of Mercy in Dublin, Ireland, on September 24, 1827.
