Giving in Honor and in Memory of

Gifts to the College can be made in memory or in honor of someone special to you. Create a legacy for a loved one today by making a gift on his or her behalf and invest in the future of Saint Joseph’s College.

In Honor -Rairdon ScholarshipGiving is a personal decision and we want you to be passionate about your choice. That is why the College makes it easy to give meaningful gifts in recognition of a deceased loved one or an important person still in your life. Maybe you want to acknowledge someone’s love of sports by donating to The Royal Blue Club, or else honor their commitment to education by contributing to our scholarship fund. Whatever your preference, the Internal Advancement staff can help ensure that your donation to the Annual Fund pays proper tribute. Visit the Annual Fund page to learn more.

Westbrook Comes on Strong Again

Rairdon Scholarship Group Photo 2017  5K Race Raises $20,000 for Matthew Rairdon ’13 Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Nearly 400 runners—from toddlers to seniors—took over the streets of Westbrook, Maine, in July to run the fourth annual Westbrook Strong 5K to benefit the Matthew Rairdon ’13 Memorial Nursing Scholarship at Saint Joseph’s College. The tally at the end of the day set a record of $20,088 raised and added to the scholarship endowment. Westbrook Strong is the result of the efforts of the extended Rairdon family, volunteers from all over the Westbrook community, and generous sponsorships
from local businesses. Matthew’s parents, Laurie and Gary Rairdon P’13, visited campus this fall to meet this year’s recipients, Brianna Frank ’19 and Brittney Arsenault ’19.

Laurie described, “There are no words that can adequately express what this means to our family. It feels like a ‘Love Run’—this is an environment hat has a goal of celebrating his life and contributing to his legacy rather than winning the race...The number of people and companies that came together speaks volumes about the generosity of people.” Mark your calendars for the next Westbrook Strong 5K on July 14, 2018! This fun event helps grow nursing scholarships for the largest group of
students at the College. To donate to the Matthew Rairdon ’13 Memorial Nursing Endowment, please visit www.sjcme.edu/donate.
