Light the Way Challenge

In Honor of Dick Bailey

Light the Way Challenge- In Honor of Dick Bailey

Construction is underway for the first turf field and track at Saint Joseph's College with lights! The $4.7 million project will be the first major addition for Athletics since 1999.

We are already halfway to the goal. We are asking alumni, friends and businesses to make gifts to a new challenge offered by the Putnam Family to underwrite the distinctive lighting for the new facility in honor of Dick Bailey, the man who lit the way for our athletic programs for 16 years.

Every gift will be matched 1:1 up to a total of $200,000.

The Light the Way Challenge will provide $400,000 toward Phase I of SJC’s large plan for new facilities. Your gift for the lights will enable us to extend the hours of play, host tournament competitions, and enroll more great athletes. As a decorated Marine, Dean of Students, Women’s Softball Coach, and now Assistant Coach, Dick Bailey has never backed down from a challenge—and we won’t either!
