Joni Barnard, a Certified IRB Professional (CIP), directs the development of educational outreach initiatives to support faculty, staff and students conducting human subjects research in the social and behavioral sciences. She is also a member of the Behavioral and Social Sciences Institutional Review Board (IRB). Dr. Barnard earned her doctoral degree from The Ohio State University in Workforce Development and Education. Prior to joining the Office of Responsible Research Practices staff, Dr. Barnard was an Assistant Professor in Human Resource Development at Pittsburg State University where she taught courses in organization and workforce development, adult learning, and leadership.
In her spare time she enjoys reading and spending time at the beach.
