Cherie Burke has been a Registered Nurse for 32 years and an Advanced Practice RN—Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for 29 of those 32 years. She has practiced at large teaching institutions, level 1 trauma centers, community hospitals, office-based settings and as a solo provider of anesthesia in rural areas. Burke recently completed a post-doctorate fellowship in inter-professional patient safety through the Veterans Administration. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists having held many committee appointments. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and partaking in culinary adventures.
