Lindsay worked as a RN in a busy urban hospital in Minneapolis, MN, in a variety of units and roles from floor nurse to assistant manager and served as the RN representative for the hospital board. In order to advance her degree, practice autonomy, and allow her the ability to teach, Lindsay attended graduate school and earned a DNP (Doctorate of Nursing Practice) in Adult Gerontologic Primary Care Nursing. Upon completing this degree, Lindsay worked as an NP in assisted living, and post-acute rehabilitation settings. Eventually Lindsay returned to the MN hospital she had spent her RN career at, this time in an NP role with a group of orthopedic surgeons.

Lindsay's family of 5 moved from Minnesota to Maine for her husband's career just before the pandemic, which led Lindsay to take some time away from clinical medicine to care for their young children, and to have the honor of becoming a nursing instructor at SJC! Lindsay loves being a part of student's journeys to becoming nurses, as she understands both the challenges and the joys that come along with this special career.
