Student Stories
“You can always find me skating on the lakes and ponds around campus, or skiing at Shawnee Peak with friends. I would encourage students to try and embrace the cold by taking part in the activities that Student Engagement sponsors, like weekly ski trips, snowshoe scavenger hunts, and weekly skate nights on Clark’s Court.”
“Once at St. Joe’s I decided to step out of my comfort zone and join the dance team, even after having very little dance experience. I am happy to say that I am now one of the captains of the dance team and that would not have been possible if I didn’t try something new.”
“Rotaract is a service-based club. This past summer we went to Puerto Rico for a service trip to help rebuild homes destroyed from Hurricane Maria; this was by far the best thing we have done and such an incredible experience.”
“The PWH student chapter allows us to advocate for a local organization that provides a sustainable solution to America's medical waste. During the Uganda mission in January 2020, we served pregnant women with birthing kits as part of project 10,000. In some locations more than 200 women traveled to see us for care.”
