Alumni Board Kaitlyn Morse Jeff YaegerSince graduating from Saint Joseph’s College, Kaitlyn Cunningham Morse '09 has worked across both the public and private sectors in Maine and Alaska. Most recently, Kaitlyn served with Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce where she had the privilege of getting to know many SJCME alumni, and ran sales and marketing for a local startup company. Kaitlyn currently works with Holiday Retirement and The Woods at Canco in Portland as a sales leader. She is married to her college sweetheart, David Morse ’07, and the two have a 14-month-old son.

Kaitlyn decided to become more involved with her alma mater because she wants to help share the successes of SJC alumni. “After graduating in 2009, I discovered that Saint Joseph's has an incredible group of grads…When an alum ran for city council in my area I didn't realize it until after the fact and it disappointed me because I would have loved to have been able to do what I could to see them win, in part because of that Saint Joseph's College connection. I don't want to miss another chance to contribute to our community of alumni,” she said.

Jeff Yaeger '04 played soccer for the Monks all four years, was a member of the baseball team for two years, and served on SJC’s inaugural Student Athlete Advisory Committee. In 2004 he was named the Senior Male Athlete of the Year. Upon leaving school with a BA in Finance he spent a year in Colorado pursuing a professional soccer career. Jeff returned to Maine in 2005 and began working as an Underwriter for Standard Insurance Company in South Portland. In 2009 he join Wright Express Company now WEX Inc. and has been working there ever since.  He is currently a Channel Strategy Manager for one of WEX’s largest oil partners. He also has spent many years as a youth club soccer coach and worked as an assistant coach for SJC Men’s and Women’s Soccer from 2006-2013, and for the past three seasons has held the same position with Men’s and Women’s Soccer at Bates. Jeff lives in Gorham, Maine, with his wife Michelle and his boys Lucas (9) and Caleb (6).

“I’ve been looking for an opportunity outside of work to get more involved in my community…Personally I’m extremely excited about the new athletics turf field going in,” he said. Jeff also wants to involve more alumni by researching and implementing functions that bring value to and provide a voice for alumni. “I think the idea of connecting alumni to current students is a great place to start,” he said.

Mary CampbellMary Campbell ’85, Membership Director for Portland Ovations, is excited to serve her alma mater, which is a special place for her family. Her mother Constance (Hegarty) Campbell ’52 and her daughter Deanna Barry ’16 both majored in English at Saint Joseph's College. Her daughter Kayla Barry '20 is studying in SJC's criminal justice program. “When I was young and growing up in Connecticut, we would visit Portland, Maine. My mother would drive us around, pointing out all the places she remembered from her time as a student at Saint Joseph’s," said Mary. "When I graduated from high school, it was a hard time for my family because my mother was sick. But she said to me: ‘You need to go to college!’ So I applied to Saint Joseph’s—it was late, but I got in and I went.”
