Colonel P. J. Crowley at Saint Joseph's College with students, faculty, and staff.

On October 15th, Former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Philip J. Crowley visited the Saint Joseph's College campus and spent time with students in a Political Science class, as well as with staff and faculty members.

Colonel Crowley, who served as Assistant Secretary of State under the Obama administration, spoke on “The Challenge of Political Leadership and Legitimacy in a Time of Extreme Partisanship, Fake News, and International Conflict.”

The presentation was sponsored by Our Lady of Hope Parish and the Ignatian Spirituality Partnership of Maine.  The Ignatian Partnership is an ecumenical association of those working to share the spiritual vision of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
