Saint Joseph’s College of Maine President James Dlugos has been named to the NCAA Division III Chancellors/Presidents Advisory Group, as was announced earlier at the NCAA Convention. Dlugos, who has served as chair of the GNAC Presidents’ Council since the 2015-16 academic year, will serve on the Presidents Advisory Group through January 2019 and will be eligible for reappointment at that time.
Fifteen Saint Joseph’s College students, who are recipients of the George Mitchell Institute Scholarships, enjoyed the extraordinary opportunity to welcome Senator George Mitchell to campus today and introduce him to their academic work in their respective programs.
Saint Joseph’s College has received a $1.5 million challenge grant from the Harold Alfond Foundation to support the creation of a new Center for Nursing Innovation on its Sebago Lake campus in Standish in order to address current, critical shortages in Maine’s nursing workforce.
