College and Jenna Chase Recognized by Breathe Easy Coalition of Maine for Gold Star Standard of Excellence

At an awards ceremony held in Augusta on March 29, 2018, Saint Joseph’s College received the Gold Star Standard of Excellence for the third year in a row, and Jenna Chase ‘11, of Windham, Assistant Director of Campus Recreation, Fitness & Wellness, was named one of two Individual Gold Star Champions statewide.

We Are Still In: Saint Joseph’s College Joins Leaders in U.S. Economy Who Support the Paris Climate Agreement

In the wake of the Trump administration’s announcement of U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, more than a thousand leaders from 125 cities, 9 states, 902 businesses and investors, and 183 colleges and universities, including Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, have signed an open letter to the international community, supporting the Paris Agreement.

President James Dlugos Appointed to D3 Presidents Advisory Group

Saint Joseph’s College of Maine President James Dlugos has been named to the NCAA Division III Chancellors/Presidents Advisory Group, as was announced earlier at the NCAA Convention. Dlugos, who has served as chair of the GNAC Presidents’ Council since the 2015-16 academic year, will serve on the Presidents Advisory Group through January 2019 and will be eligible for reappointment at that time.

Harold Alfond Foundation Gives $1.5 Million Challenge Grant For Saint Joseph’s College’s Center For Nursing Excellence

Saint Joseph’s College has received a $1.5 million challenge grant from the Harold Alfond Foundation to support the creation of a new Center for Nursing Innovation on its Sebago Lake campus in Standish in order to address current, critical shortages in Maine’s nursing workforce.
