  • Still Have Questions?
    • How does online learning work?

Online students are afforded several ways to engage with their education. There’s a self-directed format, meaning you can begin a course at the beginning of every month. Group learning typically consists of several students who follow a specific start-and-end date, as well as various assignments. A typical course requires completion of a number of assignments submitted online, and interaction with your instructor and/or other students through the online learning portal, Brightspace. There are several other course formats as well that can fit your needs.

    • Is the GRE or GMAT required for graduate programs?

No. Our online graduate programs do not require the GRE or GMAT tests.

    • When are applications due?

For most degree programs, we offer monthly course start dates and a rolling admissions cycle – so you can apply at any time and your application will be reviewed once we receive all required materials. Applications for the Master of Science in Nursing programs are reviewed quarterly in March, June, September and December. Please contact one of our admissions counselors for more information on specific program deadlines.

    • Can I receive financial aid?

Yes! The college offers federal financial aid for students enrolled in an online degree programs, but not certificate or continuing education courses. Eligible students who have schedules that will allow them to complete courses on time, and who also plan to remain enrolled without breaks, may find that federal aid is a good option. Funding is available through both the Federal Stafford Loan and the Federal Pell Grant (for undergraduates only). For students who desire a more flexible financing option, please contact the Office of Financial Aid for credit-based educational loans that can be used to meet tuition and summer residency costs.

    • How do I transfer?

Transfer agreements are formal agreements between higher education institutions, frequently between two- and four-year institutions, establishing the seamless transfer of courses and credits. Saint Joseph's College maintains agreements with other accredited institutions allowing for the acceptance of previously earned credits. Find out if we have an agreement with your school to easily transfer your earned credits!
