Kelly Ward was born and raised in Ohio, and spent the last 25 years or so in New Jersey. She brings more than 20 years teaching experience and 30+ years of social Work experience. Before coming to Saint Joseph's, she started and directed a drug and alcohol treatment facility for adolescents, and was in private practice for 20 years.
Ward has taken research trips to Ghana to establish internships, and to Vietnam to teach social work in translation. She has written and published a book with students called The TXT Book. Her educational style is adventure-based learning, and passionate discussions where everyone participates.
She loves traveling and meeting new people from other cultures, and enjoys being outdoors. Her hobbies include kayaking, snow shoeing, and cross stitching.
