Nancy Bonard has 14 years of experience teaching nursing. She is ANCC board certified in Medical-Surgical and Gerontological Nursing, and has over 23 years of experience as a registered nurse. Her nursing experience includes home care, orthopedics, gerontology, medical-surgical nursing and nursing education. Professor Bonard’s goal is to provide a meaningful, supportive learning environment for the next generation of nurses. Outside of the classroom, her hobbies include hiking, swimming, kayaking, reading, gardening, sewing and crocheting

Will be presenting “Integrating Evidence-Based Tools in Clinical Nursing Education” at the national Nurses Improving the Care of Health System Elders Conference in New Orleans in April 2020.

Has used the “Try This” series in clinical education to supplement nursing students’ knowledge and skill in utilizing evidence based practices.

NU 216 class recently attended the ANA conference on campus, with Dr. Ernest Grant, the current president of the American Nurses Association.
