Walter Ludwig has taught philosophy since 1981. His research, articles, and seminar presentations focus on Hegel’s philosophy and its relation to the works of Kant, Husserl, Heidegger, and Gadamer. Dr. Ludwig’s interest is in showing the contrasting, and yet closely related, positions of these thinkers regarding the nature of consciousness, subject and object, and knowledge and truth. His associations include the Northern New England Philosophical Association, and the Maine Philosophical Institute.

Specializing in the metaphysics of Hegel and the ontology of Heidegger.
